Getriebekennbuchstabe
Über den Getriebekennbuchstabe (GKB) werden die Getriebe identifiziert. Der Getriebekennbuchstabe besteht beim T4 aus 3 Buchstaben. Der GKB ist im Fahrzeugdatenträger angegeben und auch am Getriebegehäuse markiert.
Getriebeidentifikation
Schaltgetriebe
Grundsätzlich finden sich an den Getrieben 2 Markierungen mit Informationen über
- Getriebetyp,
- Getriebekennbuchstabe,
- laufende Nummer,
- Baudatum.
Bei den 02G-Getrieben (verbaut ab 1996) sind beide Markierungen von unten lesbar. Die erste Markierung (rot) befindet sich unterhalb des Anlassers, die zweite (gelb) auf der gegenüber liegenden Seite unterhalb des Ausgangs für die linke Antriebswelle.
Die rot markierte Kennzeichnung enthält den GKB und das Baudatum nach dem Schema "Tag - Monat - Jahr (letzte Ziffer)". Das Bild zeigt - mit dem Baudatum 17.05.1999 - jedoch 2 Besonderheiten:
- der GKB DRH wurde nachträglich angebracht und
- es handelt sich um ein seltenes Getriebe EUD, das nur sehr selten und möglicherweise nur für den Bundesgrenzschutz gebaut wurde.
Die anderen Ziffern stehen für das Herstellerwerk (14 ist ev. Kassel) und die laufende Nummer des Getriebes am o.a. Tag (0004).
Die gelb markierte Kennzeichnung gibt die Teilenummer des Getriebegehäuses, wobei die ersten 3 Zeichen immer für den Getriebetyp stehen; im Bild also ein 02G-Getriebe.
Bei den 02B-Getrieben gibt es ebenfalls die o.a. 2 Markierungen. Sie befinden sich jedoch an anderer Stelle:

Getrieberechner
Der Getrieberechner wurde von Hanno Junge in MS Excel erstellt. Er beinhaltet eine Vielzahl von VW-Getrieben inkl. der meisten T4-Getriebe.
Er zeigt nach Auswahl eines Getriebes die Übersetzungen und berechnet abhängig von der vorzugebenden Radgröße die Drehzahlen bei unterschiedlichen Geschwindigkeiten und stellt diese grafisch dar.
